Everything sold in Portugal must be translated into Portuguese.

An increasingly-globalised world, and the free movement of goods within the European space, have led to modifications to Portuguese legislation. Since the end of the 1990s it has been obligatory for all products sold in Portugal to have their labels, instructions and manuals in Portuguese. (Decree-Law no. 236/86, of 19 August, and Decree-Law no. 560/99, of 18 December).
